I understand that my profile is very funny. But let's get serious for a quick moment. I have always been over weight, so growing up I had problems with my depression. I was lucky enough to have a friend show me Marijuana. The day I smoked my first joint was life changing. I constantly felt low, but when I use Marijuana I feel happy. Not only does it make me feel happy, I feel like I should go out and go do good things for people. Marijuana made me a better person. All this stuff you hear on the news about it is all nonfactual, and paid for by big companies.
Now let's get down to business, What strains would I recommend for Depression?
Jack Herer - Great for numbing bad feelings, and Anger.
Pineapple Express - Very Happy and Euphoric.
Harlequin - Makes you feel productive, and makes everything around you feel like a video game almost.
I wasn't lucky enough to try these strains until I got older. But honestly, There's a lot of strains I can't name off of the top of my head that are great for depression.
This bring my question to you fellow GreenApple.MDers..
What's your favorite strain you use to help treat depression?
Also, What strains would make depression worse?
Fat Bastaad
@fatbastard I'm happy to hear that you find the cure that you need. Would you mind sharing which strain you consumed, how much did you take, and how long did you take it? It may be able to help some members who are looking to start.
@Hopeful , I used about one good hit out of my little bowl pipe of Jack Herer about 3 times a day. I took it around every 4-5 hours, depending on how I felt on that specific day.

I used to have serious chronic depression, whenever I would get sad or frustrated I would turn to smoke. It did nothing but give me an escape. However, when I would come off of it my depression would sink ten times worse it would seem. I would have to disagree with you Fat Bastard; maybe I wasn't smoking the right kush. An easy fix to this depression loop for me would be CBD, it eases me back into what it feels like to be normal again. I would consider using marijuana to fix my social anxiety/ anxiety if it never became such a cope for me.

I have used CBD for anxiety, but I have not used it for depression. Do you find it's an immediate effect, or is more cumulative? I have heard varying things. Some people say they felt relief immediately, and others have said it took a week or so of daily use before it worked for them.
