Louisiana Governor sends letter to Trump about medical marijuana
Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has sent a letter to President Trump asking him not to target medical marijuana businesses in the United States. On the campaign tail Trump indicated he thought the marijuana issue should be left up to the states. Hopefully he stands by that now.
I hope that other governors of pro-marijuana states also send a letter to Trump. I really don't think that marijuana is very high up on his radar and think that it is more likely that Sessions is just trying to look as though he is still in control even though public and political support for him is waning.
With the Bible belt roaring to see momentum regarding medical marijuana. Louisiana is pose to be a shining light in the south. The southern mentality against marijuana is changing and this would cemented Louisiana move towards a comprehensive stance of medical marijuana in the south as a pro voice for the plant. This is key as I've said in my Podcast the south needs a push towards the light and I can grantee once that happens the federal government will have to address the rescheduling of cannabis. With the rest of the country already in some form pro marijuana it would only make since in a federal stance.
